Dagens fotograf er Li Hui, ho beskriv seg sjølv som veldig sjenert og reservert som person. Bileta hennes er frå hennar eigen verd, som ho sa i eit intervju med freckledcup; “My photographs are about my very own world, pure, magical, mysterious and peaceful, they take place in an alternate universe”.
“My pictures never shows faces because I think this is a way of communicating with the viewer. The pictures remind us of our common feelings, secrets, past memories or magical dreams. The people in my pictures are not supposed to be unknown faces, but the viewer him- or herself.”
“I get a lot of inspiration from coming-of-age movies, all sorts of paintings and animals. When I take pictures, I have to listen to music to get into a certain state of mind. I think I wouldn’t be able to exist without music.”
“I think shy people take pictures in a different way and approach subjects differently”
“If I’m not taking pictures, I have to watch movies. This is a habit I’ve kept ever since I was a little girl. I lived with my grandfather and he was a big movie fan.”
“Recently I got a mail from an ezine and they said they prefer people to focus on photographs instead of the person behind the camera. I totally agree with that”.
The photographer of the day is Li Hui, she describes herself as a very shy person. Her pictures represent her own world, as she explained in her interview with the blog freckledcup: “My photographs are about my very own world, pure, magical, mysterious and peaceful, they take place in an alternate universe”. One of her traits is that she never shows the face of the person she photographs because she says that is her way of communicating with the viewer. She started the hobby of taking pictures in 2008 when she got her first SLR with film, however she says that she did not start photographing seriously before 2009. Her pictures are dreamlike, overexposed, feminine and all the things i look for rolled into one! taking photos she uses her Nikon FM2, but is constantly on the look for good vintage cameras.
